Shots

Rick held her during her shots. I paced the room. She only cried for a few minutes but it was a cry of pain and betrayal that I haven't heard before. 15 minutes later it was all forgotten.

Bless both your hearts. Nothing worse than hearing your child get those shots, or having to hold your child while the shots are being given.

I made the mistake of watching the needle go in on the first round. Boy, was that ever a mistake. That is a big freakin' needle for one so small. Month 3 found me holding them and looking away. Luckily, they only cry for about 30 seconds afterwards. This is good since we decided to split each round of 2month shots into two visits one month apart... so they go in every month for 1 shot instead of 2 until they are 7 months old.
